Students learn about puppets and the different types of puppets. They get to know about Indian puppets and tell stories with the puppets. Students learn through active classroom discussions. They learn to appreciate art and drama by creating a number of puppets with various materials, and manipulate them.

Appreciate puppetry as an art form. Become aware of the puppet as a communicative medium by moving the puppet. Gain knowledge of self and others through puppet play. Develop communication skills. Animate an inanimate object through movement and speech. Use their puppets to interact with other students. Develop a comfort for speaking through an inanimate object.
