MAGO Popular Story Contest 

This contest is to exhibit the collaboration between the parent and the child to narrate a Tamil story using elements from performance art.Performance art is a performance presented to an audience within a fine art context, traditionally interdisciplinary. A workshop for parents to get into the child’s world and create a Tamil story. The facilitators will keep the environment positive and vibrant using the right guiding tools. 


The families’ true trophy for the event is bringing back an activity which will nourish an organic and fun environment in their respective homes to speak Tamil.

We welcome you for our ‘MAGO - Popular Story Contest’. Team up as a parent-child or grandparent-child to tell your story in Tamil, create an experience and upload the video on Facebook. Make this video popular by sharing it abundantly and don’t forget to tag AKT Creations in each of your share. So, all you need to do is:

4.     your video 


The highest number of shares will be declared the winner team.


  • You will not be able to tag AKT Creations, if you have not ‘liked’ the page.

  • Sharing the video without tagging AKT Creations will not be qualified for the count.

  • The video with the highest number of shares is the champion team who gets to win 2 return air tickets to Singapore/Chennai.

  • No theme will be given.

  • Stories with politics, sexual and religious elements are to be avoided.

  • Either an adapted or original Tamil story can be presented by the participant team.


  • MAGO Title and Champion trophy will be awarded.



  • This is duo category. 

  • The parent or grandparent with a child. In the event of twins, it can be trio participation. 

  • The registration will be on a first come first serve basis. Registration will close once it reaches maximum intake.


  • The participants will need to present a story in Tamil within 100 seconds. Those who exceed the time limit will be penalized. Participants must tell their story without using any props or costume changes. The focus is on the participants’ rendition of the story.

  • During the selection round, participants will have to present their prepared stories to the panel of judges. 

  • The organizers reserve the right to amend the rules and regulations of the competition without prior notice.

  • The organizers hold the rights of the video coverage of the competition.

  • All participants are to report to the auditorium at least 15 minutes before the MAGO Storytelling Olympiad commences.

  • Latecomers will not be entertained.


The Judging Criteria are as follows:                            
Percentage Awarded

  • Content (Story / Characterisation/ Language/Creativity)     40%

  • Delivery (Clarity/ Gestures)                                    30%

  • Effectiveness (team work / Body Language)                  30%


The decision of the judges will be final. No further correspondence will be entertained.

  • The organisers will not be held responsible for any loss of property or injury that might arise during the competition.

  • Please wear comfortable and appropriate dresses. Avoid Stripes, checkered patterns and moire patterns.

  • Please be informed that AKT Creations reserve the right to use the photographs or videos taken during the event for promotional and marketing purposes without any obligation to inform or take consent.
